A Boy and his Dog #4

 

It's no wonder there are so many classics about boys and their dogs. It is a magical relationship that they carry in their hearts all of their lives. I believe our relationships with our dogs make us better people, and I have definitely seen the profound influence both our dogs, our first 'Yellow' the beloved Winston , and now Beau have had on our children.

Michael's fan club

Those are treats in Michael's hands, one for Rain and one for Beau. Aren't they just too cute!!! You can tell the dogs are really humoring me while I take the photo.

Here is Beau with his friend Rain. Rain is a 'certified service dog' and belongs to the lady I work for. This is at Island View Beach yesterday. Rain came for a sleepover this week-end....and I must say that Beau was such a good host.

RAW Diet

 

Beau has put himself on the Raw diet. Today I went out to the farm on the Saanich Peninsula to buy fresh vegetables. Before I had a chance to put them away Beau grabbed the kale off the counter and proceeded to chow down. I can't get my family to eat kale but my dog steals it!, and eats it!

Freckle face

Those freckles are mud!!!! He actually looked like one of those sad birds from the oil spills he was so muddy, only his little face was spotted yellow the rest of him was black, black. This is after a dip in the ocean and a towel down.

Today after a very wet outing to the dog park to meet Beau's friend, another Yellow Lab, named Crystal.
Doesn't he just make you laugh? He's the best therapy money can buy!

Miri and Beau

I just love this picture of my Mum's dog Miri and Beau tucked in behind her. Both waiting for Shirley to give them a cookie. This was taken at Willows Beach on Sunday, it was a glorious day for dog walking and picture taking.
